- only sell products that are handmade or homegrown,
- make sure you've got the proper licensing and training for your products and business,
- show up a little early,
- stay for the whole market,
- treat everyone well, and
- clean up after yourself.

Space, set up:
- Vendors must keep their stalls occupied from 15 min. before market opens until market closes, for all in-person markets.
- Vendors are responsible for cleaning their spaces after market.
- Limited electrical outlets are available on-site. Please make arrangements with market manager, if needed.
Allowable Foods Approved for Sale:
- Must adhere to State Guidelines. See www.dia.iowa.gov
- The following items may be sold:
- Fresh fruits, vegetables, & herbs
- Bakery products that are not potentially hazardous: breads, cakes, doughnuts, pastries, buns, rolls, cookies, biscuits, and pies (NO meat pies, soft pies, custard or cream filled products)
- Fresh shell eggs - recommended to be kept at or below 45°F
- Honey
- Non-potentially hazardous food products such as jams, jellies, syrups or dried noodles
- Frozen poultry, beef, pork, lamb or goat (These must have a permit to sell.)
- Crafts
- Food trucks/ Prepared food items (with relevant licenses). We accept food trucks based on product offerings, reviews, and ease of doing business.
- Baked goods, jams, and jellies must be labeled with the common name of the product and the name and address of the person who prepared the food.
- No “home style” canned goods can be sold without appropriate licensing from local, state and federal authorities. This includes items like pickles, salsa and pepper jellies.
- Prices must be listed.
- Do not eat, chew gum, smoke, use tobacco, spit, while in growing/ processing/ food handling area.
- Please be respectful, honest and courteous toward customers, staff/managers and other vendors. Produce in the Park retains the right to prohibit a person or business from participating in the market for conduct deemed inappropriate/unprofessional.
- There will be no discrimination on the basis of race, color, creed, sex, religion, physical ability, sexual orientation, age or nationality.
- Prices must be listed.
- Produce in the Park does not set price floors at this time, but please consider there is a premium value to buying food at a farmers market: products are fresh, and customers enjoy a boutique shopping experience.
- Please consider your costs when pricing your products, and price at or above grocery store prices.
- A market stand can be managed by any employee or volunteer who represents the business, including another vendor at the market.
- The person who made or grew the original product is required to register as a vendor with Produce in the Park, pay the vendor fee, and follow all rules and proper licensing as laid out in the application.
- Products sold by anyone other than the person who made or grew the product must be labeled with the source of origin (farm name and maker/grower contact info).
- Any products sold by anyone other than the person who made or grew the product must be made or grown within 75 miles of Atlantic.
- Youth age 16+ may apply to be vendors at all markets. The vendor must serve as primary contact with the market manager.
- Youth age 10- 15 can participate in the summer market as vendors once a year (summer markets only) and are expected to follow same rules and regulations as adults.
- A responsible adult must be present when youth 10-15 are selling.
- Youth are welcome to volunteer with the market for Silver Cord hours or other programs.
- If an organization or business is registered as a youth organization, the youth need to be the ones working the market stand (not the parents, or organization advisors).
- Youth organizations that include youth aged 10-15 can participate at all markets, as long as youth 16+ are also involved at the market.
